Itinerary

Flight to Casablanca, Morocco including airport transfer

When arriving in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be met by one of the representatives of Arabescape.com who will welcome you. Subsequently the driver takes you to your accommodation.

Depending on your flight, you might still have time to visit the famous Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. This is the largest mosque in Morocco and the third largest in the world. The religious building is half built over the water, which provides a spectacular view. From the mosque you can take a nice walk on the cornice (the boulevard). A nice and easy start of your journey.

Fez including city tour

Today, you wake up in magical city of Fez and have all day to discover the center. Fez is one of the Imperial cities and also one of the largest cities in the country. Although, when you walk through the narrow streets of the Medina and the bazaar, Fez does not feel like a city of millions.

Fez is a melting pot of cultures, religions and populations which have settled here over the centuries. Due to this diverse population, the city offers various Islamic as well as Jewish buildings and historical sites.

In Fez we suggest you visit the Royal Palace, the ancient tanneries and the Bab Mellah district. In the evening it is possible to eat with a local Moroccan family. This will give you a glimpse into the lives, traditions and customs of the locals.

Fez - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud

We suggest you wake up early today as it will be a long day of travelling. You will drive from beautiful Fez towards the extensive Merzouga desert and leave in the early morning. In the late afternoon you arrive in Erfoud for your overnight stay.

Located in the Sahara, Erfoud is one of the largest oasis towns on the edge of the desert. This makes Erfoud a very important city in the area.

Tomorrow the real desert adventure begins: you will travel deep into the Sahara.

Erfoud - Rissani - Erg Chebbi including transfer to desert camp

This morning you will have enough time to visit Rissani. If you have the chance, visit the market on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. In the afternoon you will be picked up with a jeep and transferred to the desert camp. The thrill of being surrounded by the endless desert is incredible and the silence is overwhelming. You can take a short walk to the dunes and enjoy a breathtaking sunset.

Erg Chebbi is the desert region in the east of Morocco. The area is about 25 km from north to south and the widest part is 8 km from east to west. The sand dunes can reach a height of 150 meters. Tonight you will sleep in a Bedouin tent.

Erg Chebbi - Todgha Gorge - Dades Valley - Ouarzazate

After this amazing desert experience you drive towards the eastern part of the Atlas Mountains and visit the Todgha Gorge today. This beautiful canyon is one of the world’s most spectacular ones. The gorge was created thousands of years ago when the Todgha and Dades rivers flowed over the rocks. The river created a passage by erosion. Today, a cold river still flows over the bottom of the gorge, but no longer as big and powerful as it used to be.

On the way to Ouarzazate you can stop at the Dadès Valley where you can go for a hike.

Marrakech including city tour

Today you wake up in a thousand and one night fairy tale. You have two days to explore Marrakesh, so you have plenty of time to see the highlights. Like many North African cities, Marrakesh is divided into two separate parts: the Gueliz (the modern French-built city) and the Medina (the old city).

The first morning we have arranged a city tour with a guide. He will show you the way in and around the city center. The tour starts at the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in the city and famous for its minaret. Afterwards you go to the Djemaa el Fnaa square, the most famous square of Morocco. Everything comes together at this square, from delicious eateries to snake charmers and musicians. A unique experience.

In addition, it is possible to take a look at real Islamic life in Marrakesh. In the city center you can visit the madrassa, a Koran school. The gardens of Yves Saint Laurent and the Bahia Palace are also recommended. We are happy to give you some more information about what to see and where to eat.

Marrakech - Essaouira including city tour

From the hustle and bustle in Marrakesh you continue your way to Essaouira, a charming seaside town on the west coast of Morocco. In Essaouira you can visit the charming artists’ quarter where you will find beautiful white houses with blue shutters, art galleries and delicious fresh fish. Take a walk along the Prince Moulay el Hassan square and past Skala du port, the fishing port.
